Hiking and Walks
Stowe Creek Trail
The Stowe Creek Trail starts easy and has great views. It is accesseible by 4wd vehicle or mountain bike. The beginning of the trail is easy enough for young kids and old dogs, and has excellent views. The creeks have bridges over them and the trail is wide enough for two. The approach in a vehicle is also attractive, though a bit rough.
A map of the Mt H'Kusam Trail System is available here.
You also can summit Mt H'Kusam from the Stowe Creek Trail, as described here. That link also has more information about the trail in general.
Bill's Trail is relentlessly steep and has short ropes to help balance on the ascent, though the rocks themselves are sufficient.
White River Provincial Park
Old growth forest 35 minutes from the Lodge. Beautiful old trees and a peaceful location on the White River. The trail to the river is very short, only about five minutes. When the water is low enough you can walk across a shallow side channel to an island and enjoy the river from there.
