How to Find Us

The lodge is located near the village of Sayward on northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, between the ferry terminals of Nanaimo (2.5 hours) and Port Hardy (2 hours).

To reach us by road

• Take highway 19 to Sayward Junction (about 75 km north of Campbell River, or 170 km SE of Port Hardy).
• Turn off hwy 19 towards Sayward, and drive about 7 km to Frenchman Road. (You will cross the Salmon River twice, as well as several other creeks - see the map below.)
• Turn left onto Frenchman Road, and follow the road about 1 km to a stop sign.
• Turn left onto Salmon River Main (a paved logging road). Continue for 1.2 km. Our driveway is on the right, just after the 6 km marker.
• Welcome to the Lodge!
