Great Accommodation

We offer three kinds of affordable accommodation:

• comfortable private rooms with queen or two twin beds
• family room with queen bed and a set of bunk beds
• dorm style rooms with multiple twin beds.

At present, none of our rooms has an ensuite bathroom; ample private bathrooms are available in the common areas both upstairs and downstairs.

Ask us about discounts for long-term stays or winter visits.

Meal Options

• Continental breakfast
• Self-catering meals in a fully appointed kitchen
• Full meal plan with delicious home cooked meals featuring fresh ingredients and local produce (for groups, or by prior arrangement)
• There are several local restaurants and pubs that guests can visit, and we plan to open a licensed restaurant at the Lodge for the summer of 2008.

An ideal base for groups and work crews, retreats and workshops

We are happy to house groups and work crews. We can provide generous meal plans, and conference and workshop facilities. We can help you in planning your retreat and organizing tours and activities. Please contact us for special conference and group rates.

Your Hosts

Your hosts, Jill Tyndale and Chris Watkiss, retired in 2005 from running their famous organic goat dairy and cheese company, McLennan Creek Dairy, in Abbotsford, B.C. We fell in love with this beautiful part of the world, and decided to make it our home. At the dairy, we were hosts to many Canadian and international volunteers and interns through the WWOOF program. We decided to start a hostel here in Sayward as our retirement project, so that we could continue to enjoy hosting travellers from all over the world.
